The Happiness of Being Useful
For the happiness of being useful, it seems that we ought to try to learn from others. If you really believe that it is not you who is going to make it but the work that you are doing, then perhaps you should give up the dream that you have about the power to make someone else happy and instead use your own skills. It’s really amazing how quickly one can notice when he/she is falling short of his/her goals.
For the happiness of being useful, it seems that we ought to try to learn from others. But if we are truly able to be useful, then it seems that we should strive to learn and help others achieve their happiness as well. Perhaps I’ve misunderstood you.
Useful people are the ones who realize the value of helping others and helping other people achieve their success and happiness. Are you one of those who are happy to watch them struggle and not do anything for themselves? Are you one of those who just wait for the job to be done?
Have you been reaching down your back pocket and pulling out all kinds of stuffs and gadgets to help others reach their level of usefulness? You are constantly busy and while you have the time, you tend to move around instead of sit back and relax? Is it the fear of loneliness and a feeling of powerlessness? If it is the loneliness and powerlessness, then you have reached a point where help is called for.
Think about it, if you are truly useful, then there is a good chance that others will value you and perhaps give you something back in return. Others will look up to you for guidance and possibly give you their life. If you really believe that it is not you who is going to make it but the work that you are doing, then perhaps you should give up the dream that you have about the power to make someone else happy and instead use your own skills. If it is not you who is going to make it, it might as well be someone else.
How does one achieve the happiness of being useful? By taking the right action and knowing that it will take some time. It’s really amazing how quickly one can notice when he/she is falling short of his/her goals.
First of all, get up and take action. Act. See where you are and start making an effort to change it and work harder at it. Don’t just sit back and try to relax and do nothing about the situation that you find yourself in.
Be patient. Give time to others to progress so that you can move ahead. Don’t make assumptions. One day may seem impossible. But if you are patient and you act now, maybe you can make it possible to make it.
I know that some of you are actually trying to make improvements to your own development and in doing so you are actually improving others’ lives as well. We all have the potential to be very successful, although we may have different paths in our own development and the same with our own happiness.
Why don’t you talk to others and see where they are and make an effort to learn about them and their goals? If you try hard, they will appreciate you and the same time you can help them become successful. Maybe they will even tell you what they need and you can help them achieve their happiness as well.
You might even want to take note of the things that your friends and family say about the happiness of being useful and then take these things to heart and begin to make improvements to your own level of usefulness. What do they tell you? You can certainly be able to help others achieve their own level of happiness as well as you can. As you learn and do your best to be useful, you will be able to help others achieve theirs.
When you want to take your happiness to the next level, if you are sincere about improving yourself, as well as yourself, and being self reliant, you are well on your way to achieving the happiness of being useful. I recommend you begin today to improve yourself in any way that you can.
There are no longer any barriers to happiness. We can all use our powers to be valuable and to help others achieve their own happiness.
